For metal-bonded tools, excellent surface cleanliness can enhance the bonding strength between diamonds and the bonding agent. This prevents diamonds from falling off during grinding, thus avoiding excessive grinding heat that would otherwise burn the workpiece due to reduced diamond concentration.
